2-Chloro-1,1,1-trimethoxyethane is a chloromethyl heterocyclic compound. It participates in the synthesis of 2-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives.

Application

2-Chloro-1,1,1-trimethoxyethane may be used for the synthesis of chlorotriazolinone, an NK1 antagonist and 2-chloromethyl-7-[3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-3H-quinazolin-4-one.
