Application

1,4-Bis[4-(3-acryloyloxypropyloxy) benzoyloxy]-2-methylbenzene is a liquid-crystalline elastomer (LCE) monomer that has been explored as photonically , chemically or thermally fueled LCE actuator (LCEA) precursor for use in:
  • soft robotics, such as microscopic walkers , and self-healable actuators ;
  • 4d printing ;
  • amplifier reflectors for organic-inorganic perovskite solar-cells or for secure authentication .
  • optical sensors for medical applications .
This product can be used in Material Jetting or Vat polymerization 3D printing techniques.

Organic-inorganic perovskites are highly promising solar cell materials with laboratory-based power conversion efficiencies already matching those of established thin film technologies. Their exceptional photovoltaic performance is in part attributed to the presence of efficient radiative recombination pathways, thereby opening up

Monodisperse cholesteric liquid crystal microspheres exhibit spherically symmetric Bragg reflection, generating, via photonic cross communication, dynamically tuneable multi-coloured patterns. These patterns, uniquely defined by the particular sphere arrangement, could render cholesteric microspheres very useful in countless security applications, as tags
