A certified Snap-N-Spike® solution suitable for use as starting material in calibrators and controls for butyryl fentanyl LC/MS or GC/MS testing methods in clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, prescription monitoring, or forensic analysis applications. Butyryl fentanyl is a designer drug and fentanyl analog that has been associated with numerous overdose deaths around the world. In May 2016, the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) classified butyryl fentanyl as a schedule I controlled substance.

Application


  • Butyryl fentanyl research chemical: Butyryl fentanyl is employed in forensic science as part of advanced detection methods using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) techniques to identify synthetic opioids, providing insights into its pharmacological and toxicological profiles (Smith et al., 2021).

  • Synthetic opioid receptor agonist Butyryl fentanyl: Research on butyryl fentanyl involves studying its interaction with opioid receptors to understand its efficacy and potential risks as an analgesic and its abuse potential, which is crucial for developing safer therapeutic alternatives and regulatory policies (Caspar et al., 2018).
