General description
Method: colorimetric, PMB, with color-matching vessel 1.0 - 2.5 - 5.0 - 7.5 - 10 mg/l P2O5 1.3 - 3.3 - 6.7 - 10.0 - 13.4 mg/l PO43- MQuant®
This MQuant® Phosphate test (formally MColortest®) measures orthophosphate in:
Method
This test evaluates the color reaction based on the transmitted light method. So even turbid and colored water samples can be analyzed without further preparation. The color matching vessel is made of very durable, lightfast plastic, thus suitable for industrial areas and wet environments. In sulfuric solution orthophosphate ions (PO43-) react with molybdate ions to form molybdophosphoric acid. This is reduced to phosphomolybdenum blue (PMB). The phosphate concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the color zones of a color matching vessel.
Using the refill pack 1.08046 containing all the reagents, the original test kit can be used for a very long time, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.
- Groundwater, surface water, and seawater
- Waters from aquaculture
- Drinking water and mineral water
- Industrial water, prozess water, and wastewater
- Electroplating wastewater
- Boiler water and boiler feed water
- Food after appropriate sample pretreatment
- Soils and fertilizers after appropriate sample pretreatment
