General description
A cell-permeable Salubrinal (Cat. No. 324895) analog that is reported to be more potent and soluble than Salubrinal. In addition to being a useful tool in studying elF2α-mediated cellular processes in cultures in vitro, enhanced elF2α phosphorylation by Sal003 treatment in the brain (40 pmol per animal) is shown to impair long-term memory in mice in vivo.
