General description
Native IgE from human myeloma plasma.
Native IgE from human myeloma plasma. Human immunoglobulin E (IgE) purified from the plasma of a myeloma donor. The isotype of the light chain (kappa or lambda) will vary from batch to batch depending on the starting material.

Preparation Note
Prepared from plasma that was shown by certified tests to be nonreactive for HBsAg and for antibodies to HCV, HBc, HIV-1 and HIV-2.
Reconstitution
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
Analysis Note
Single arc by immunoelectrophoresis against antiserum to whole human serum and human IgE
Other Notes
Note: the heavy chain of myeloma IgE may appear as either a single or double band on gel electrophoresis. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
