General description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as diluted serum. Recognizes the ~20 kDa β-interferon protein.
Recognizes the ~20 kDa IFN-β protein. Note: 1 KU = 1000 neutralization units.
This Anti-β-Interferon Rabbit pAb is validated for use in Neutralization Studies for the detection of β-Interferon.
Immunogen
Human
recombinant, human β-interferon
Application
Neutralization Studies (see application references)
Biochem/physiol Actions
≥1 x 10⁵ neutralization units/ml
Warning
Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)
Physical form
Serum diluted in PBS.
Reconstitution
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
Other Notes
Does not recognize α-interferon or γ-interferon by immunoblotting. Effectively neutralizes human β-interferon (see application references). One neutralization unit is the amount of diluted serum required to neutralize 1 unit of human interferon-β. One KU = 1,000 neutralization units. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
