General description
The detection method is based on highly sensitive ATP bioluminescence technology. The ATP method is regulatory compliant, highly reliable, and consistent with the detection rates matching the standards of current compendial testing methods.
The conventional way of visual evaluation is replaced by Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) in Milliflex® Rapid system. The state-of-the-art image analysis and optimized reagents require reduced incubation time for viable microbial detection.
The image analysis software intensifies (~1000 times) the bioluminescence from each microbial micro-colony and captures the light signals emitted by the microbes. The software enumerates the colonies and displays results as CFU (colony forming unit).
