Application

Selected application examples
Calcium ionophore II (ETH 129) was used in preparing calcium selective minielectrodes which are used in determination of dissociation constant (Kd).
Suitable for intracellular calcium measurements.
Lipophilic ionophore for Ca2+-selective electrodes with detection limit in the sub-nanomolar range. Extremely efficient carrier of Ca2+-ions; induces a selectivity in membranes for Ca2+ over Mg2+ by a factor of about 104.

Packaging

Bottomless glass bottle. Contents are inside inserted fused cone.

We have investigated the ability of the neutral ionophore ETH 129 to translocate Ca2+ across artificial and biological membranes. ETH 129 induces Ca2+ transport across planar lipid bilayer. The zero-current membrane potential in a gradient of Ca2+ concentration exhibits Nernst

In this work, ion-selective electrodes for calcium ion were investigated. Two ionophores were used in the membranes: ETH 1001 and ETH 129. An internal filling solution buffered for primary ion was used that allowed the lower detection limit to be
