General description

Obidoxime chloride is a drug, belonging to the group of oximes. It is found to be useful for the treatment of organophosphorus (OP) poisoning, since it has the ability to reverse the binding of organophosphorus compounds to the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE).

Application

Obidoxime chloride may be used as a reference standard for the determination of obidoxime in a parenteral injection device using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
