General description

N-(n-Butyl)thiophosphoric triamide (nBPTT), an active ingredient in nitrogen stabilizers, is widely used as a urease inhibitor. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of urease enzyme thereby improving the efficiency of urea-containing fertilizers. nBPTT is also effective in increasing plant yields and reducing ammonia losses when employed with surface-applied urea and urea ammonium nitrate solutions.

Application

N-(n-Butyl)thiophosphoric triamide may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in soil samples, bovine milk and tissue extracts using chromatography techniques.
