Gene Information

human ... PBX3(5090)

General description

PBX3 is a homeobox transcription factor that shares homology with the human proto-oncogene, PBX1. It is known to enhance the transcriptional functions of HOX proteins and can also modulate developmental genes. Furthermore, PBX1 can regulate cell proliferation and has been implicated in gastric cancer.
Rabbit Anti-PBX3 antibody recognizes human, mouse, rat, bovine, chicken, and zebrafish PBX3.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human PBX3

Application

Rabbit Anti-PBX3 antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 2.5μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

PBX3 is a transcriptional activator that binds the sequence 5′-ATCAATCAA-3′.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: SRMLQTLAGVNLAGHSVQGGMALPPPPHGHEGADGDGRKQDIGDILHQIM

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
