A human T cell lymphoma cell line established from the peripheral blood of a 25-year-old man with T cell non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma in 1986.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS). For slower growth use 10% or 5% FBS.

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 0.5 - 2 x1000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Doubling time approximately 30 hours. Split saturated culture 1:3 every 2-3 days. Round to polygonal cells growing singly or in small clusters in suspension.
