General description

Serum is mostly required as a supplement to cell culture media. It contains macromolecules, carrier proteins, attachment and spreading factors, low molecular weight nutrients, and hormones and growth factors.

Application

Human Serum has been used as a supplement in culture media for monocytes. It has been used as a control in western blotting to study flightless I expression in serum.

Packaging

Packaging may vary for different batches due to short supply of the bottles used to pack this product. The presence or lack of shrink wrap around the cap of the bottle doesn’t impact product integrity/sterility of the product.

Analysis Note

Endotoxin tested

Other Notes

It is not unusual for our human serum products to be cloudy. This product is from pooled serum and cloudiness indicates that lipids are present in the serum. No clear, lipid-free human serum products are available.
