General description

CDC42BPB (CDC42 binding protein kinase beta, DMPK-like) is a 190kDa multi-domain protein belonging to the subfamily of Rho GTPase activated serine/threonine kinases within the AGC-family. AGC family members mainly support the actomyosin cytoskeleton assembly. It is expressed in a wide range of tissues.

Application

Biochem/physiol Actions

CDC42BPB (CDC42 binding protein kinase beta, DMPK-like) plays a vital role in the regulation of tumor cell invasion. During cytoskeleton assembly, it influences cell shape and motility by facilitating the phosphorylation of myosin light chain (MLC).
