Gene Information

human ... S1PR1(1901)

General description

S1P1 (sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1) is one of the transmembrane G protein coupled receptor. It is a member of the endothelial differentiation gene (EDG) family of receptors, hence it is also known as endothelial differentiation gene (EDG-1). It is located on chromosome 1p21.

Immunogen

a 14 amino acid peptide near the carboxy-terminus of the human S1P1.

Biochem/physiol Actions

S1P1 (sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1) acts as an anti-apoptotic/pro-proliferative protein in AML (acute myeloid leukemia) cells. It participates in angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. It is considered as a pro-tumorigenic receptor, as it induces migration of cancer cell and invasion along with tumor neovascularization.

Linkage

The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP4809.

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide

There are currently no accurate predictive markers of metachronous liver metastasis from colorectal cancer. Recent studies demonstrated that the expression patterns of sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1PR1) are altered in several tumors, but in colorectal cancer, the patterns remain unknown. Our
