General description

RLF from Cell Applications, Inc. have been used to demonstrate that exaggerated (compared to adults) NF-κB activation in neonates in response to hyperoxia is mediated by phosphorylation of IκBα on Tyr42 (Wright, 2009). They were also used to elucidate melatonin effects and signaling pathway (Ben Soussia, 2012) and served as a control in studies investigating epithelial-mesenchimal transition as the source of myofibroblasts responsible for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (Willis, 2005; Jain, 2007).

Cell Line Origin

Lungs

Pulmonary function, gene expression, healing & repair process, differentiation, extracellular matrix production, growth factor and cytokine activation, actin reorganization, synthesis of type II collagen, elastin, and proteoglycans, airway remodeling, pharmaceutical development.
