Gene Information

human ... CCL18(6362)

General description

CC chemokine ligand 18 (CCL18) is expressed at high levels in human lung and serum. This CC chemokine can be found in primates only. The CCL18 gene is mapped to the human chromosome 17q11.2.
The Human PARC ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human PARC in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

Immunogen

Recombinant Human PARC

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

C-C motif chemokine ligand 18 (CCL18) has immunological functions and is associated with tumor progression. It is secreted by tumor associated macrophages (TAMs). The protein recruits naive T-cells and dendritic cells, and induces regulatory T-cells. It also acts as a chemokine for helper T lymphocytes and cytotoxic T lymphocytes. CCL18 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of many cancers.
