Gene Information

human ... IL1F7(27178)

General description

The IL1F7 ELISA kit provides for the quantitative measurement of IL-37 in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum.
The interleukin 37 (IL1F7) gene is expressed in several tissues such as thymus, lymph nodes, testis, uterus, placenta, bone marrow and lungs. The gene IL1F7 exists in five isoforms IL1F7a-e. The IL1F7 gene is mapped to human chromosome 2q14.1.

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Interleukin 37 (IL1F7) suppresses the innate immune response. The IL1F7 gene expression is associated with many inflammatory disorders including dermatosis, hepatopathy, digestive system disorders, autoimmune diseases, ischemia/reperfusion injury and other metabolic diseases. The anti-inflammatory action of IL1F7 might affect tumor inflammation mechanism.
