Immunogen

Recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 152 of TTC11 (Uniprot ID#Q9Y3D6)

Application

Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: ICC/IF: 1:100-1:2000, IHC-P: 1:100-1:1000, WB: 1:500-1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The balance between fission and fusion regulates the morphology of mitochondria. TTC11 is a component of a mitochondrial complex that promotes mitochondrial fission (James et al., 2003 [PubMed 12783892]).[supplied by OMIM]

PeerJ, 4, e2659-e2659 (2016-11-12)
Anesthetic postconditioning is a cellular protective approach whereby exposure to a volatile anesthetic renders a tissue more resistant to subsequent ischemic/reperfusion event. Sevoflurane postconditioning (SPostC) has been shown to exert cardioprotection against ischemia/reperfusion injury, but the underlying mechanism is unclear.

Small extracellular vesicles (EVs), including exosomes, play multiple physiological roles. In neurodegenerative diseases, EVs can be pivotal in dispersing neuropathogenic proteins. This study investigates the role of neural stem cell (NSC)-derived EVs in a transgenic (Tg) mouse model of Alzheimer's

Recent data suggest that the combined effect of oxidative stress due to aging and slightly elevated amyloid-β (Aβ) levels initiate Alzheimer's disease (AD) long before the clinical onset. Investigations of this early phase are hampered by the lack of cellular
