General description

5-HT-1B/HTR1B (5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1B) is a presynaptic and postsynaptic receptor, present in the basal ganglia, hippocampus and cortex. It is located on human chromosome 6q14.1.
Anti-5-HT-1B Antibody detects endogenous levels of total 5-HT-1B protein.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human 5-HT-1B.

Immunogen Range: 201-250

Biochem/physiol Actions

5-HT-1B/HTR1B (5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1B) plays an important role in locomotion, feeding and thermoregulation and also in arterial contractile regulation mechanisms. It participates in regulating the effects of serotonin.
