General description

Casein kinase II α(CK2) is a pleiotropic serine/threonine kinase, that is located on human chromosome 16p13. 2-p13. 3.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Casein Kinase II alpha around the phosphorylation site of Tyr255.

Immunogen Range: 221-270

Biochem/physiol Actions

Casein kinase II α(CK2) regulates T-cell polarization by initiating the activation of dendritic cells. CK2 participates in the development of breast carcinoma. Mutations in CK2 results in neurodevelopmental abnormalities and dysmorphic features. This protein induces prosurvival and proinflammatory signaling pathways.
