Gene Information

General description

Potassium voltage-gated channel interacting protein 3 (KCNIP3) is part of the neuronal calcium sensor protein family. The gene ID of the protein is 65199.

Specificity

Detects ~34 kDa. No cross reactivity against KCIPs 1,2 or 4

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 1-256 (Full lenght) of rat Calsenillin/DREAM/KChIP3

Biochem/physiol Actions

Potassium voltage-gated channel interacting protein 3 (KCNIP3) is involved in the downregulation of other genes. It has been shown that the protein is upregulated when there is a high concentration of glucose in vitro.
