Pridopidine (ACR16) is orally available, highly selective and potent Sigma-1 Receptor (S1R) agonist that exhibit potent neuroprotective activities. At higher doses pridopidine targets other receptors including dopamine D3, adrenergic α2C and serotoninergic 5-HT1A.
