Application

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
ASTM® D5307 crude oil internal standard has been used in the quantitative determination of diamondoid compounds like adamantane in specific organic solvents like dichloromethane, hexane, carbon-tetrachloride, hexane , heptadecane, hexadecane, pentadecane and tetradecane, using infrared attenuated total reflection spectroscopy (IR-ATR).

Other Notes

Equal weights of the hydrocarbons listed. Use to determine detector response factors (slight warming of mixture may be necessary to dissolve all components completely.)
