General description
It is a well-known problem when sampling airborne carbonyls using DNPH-coated silica gel devices that ozone interferes with their analysis. To remove this ozone interference, traditional ozone scrubbing devices containing 1.5 g of Potassium Iodide (KI) are used in front of the DNPH device to trap the ozone, which causes negative ozone interference. In high humidity environments and rainy conditions, potassium iodide cartridges (or other multiple bed devices containing both potassium iodide and DNPH) result in sample loss, due to moisture condensation and collection inside the device.
Benefits:
- Integrated ozone scrubber
- No extra connections
- No leaking cartridges
- High Purity adsorbents for better accuracy in trace analysis
- Low Background
- Individual packaging in zip seal bag to maximize sample integrity
- Suitable for NIOSH 2016, EPA TO-11A, EPA IP-6A and ASTM D5197
