Application

  • Synthesis of bis ferrocene derivatives: Development of new ferrocenyl multi-functional silyl ether compounds using chlorotrimethylsilane, highlighting advances in organosilicon chemistry (R Teimuri-Mofrad et al., 2016).
  • Pharmacologically active derivatives: Use of chlorotrimethylsilane as a catalyst in the synthesis of pharmacologically active bis (indolyl) and tris (indolyl) derivatives, demonstrating its efficiency in electrophilic substitution reactions (NG Singh et al., 2014).
  • Silicone resin synthesis: Exploration of the hydrolysis-condensation reaction of tetraethoxysilane and chlorotrimethylsilane to create silicone resins, showing the material′s enhanced properties for industrial applications (CFJ Kuo et al., 2014).
  • Deoxygenation of unsymmetrical dicarbonyl compounds: Innovative use of chlorotrimethylsilane and sodium iodide for the selective reduction of 1,2-diketones, showcasing a novel method in organic synthesis (LZ Yuan et al., 2016).
  • Enhanced activity and durability of catalysts: Investigation into Fe3+ and chlorotrimethylsilane modified NaY catalysts for the acetalization of glycerol to solketal, improving catalytic performance in chemical processes (Y Li et al., 2023).
