Gene Information

human ... ALDH1A1(216)

General description

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is also known as retinal dehydrogenase 1. It is thought to be a main converter of retinol to retinoic acid, which is very important in cell to cell signaling. ALDH1A1 may also be involved in inhibiting invasion in pancreatic cancer cells. More specifically, ALDH1A1 may regulate hematopoietic stem cell differentiation by disrupting the retinoid signaling.

Specificity

Other homologies: rat and mouse (91% sequence homology).

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1.

Application

Research Category
Stem Cell Research
This Anti-Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1A1) Antibody is validated for use in WB for the detection of Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1A1).
