General description

Kaempferide is a naturally occurring, O-methylated flavonol found in Kaempferia galanga. It exhibits a variety of pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and antitumor properties.

Application

Kaempferide may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in propolis and traditional Chinese medicine Zuo Gui Wan using different chromatography techniques.
