General description

Anti-CNR1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CNR1 protein.
CNR1 (cannabinoid receptor 1) is a member of the class A G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family. It is also known as the type-1 cannabinoid receptor (CB1). It is expressed at high level in the brain and the central nervous system. It is located on human chromosome 6q15.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CNR1.

Immunogen Range: 151-200

Biochem/physiol Actions

CNR1 (cannabinoid receptor 1) participates in most of the activities of the brain and body. It is sensitive to hebephrenic schizophrenia. Experimental studies hypothesize that aberrations in CNR1 gene increases the risk of susceptibility to substance abuse.
